PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the execution method of a diaphragm wall, in which excess pore water pressure remaining on an internal retaining ground surrounded by the diaphragm wall to be constructed is diffused at an early stage and the collapse of the internal retaining ground is not generated. SOLUTION: When a diaphragm-wall foundation 1 consisting of wall bodies 3, 4 is built on a ground so as to surround an internal retaining ground, single- body elements are constructed successively and the wall body 3 is formed by forming a buffer hole 6 as a hole for pumping up having the length of the depth of embedment deeper than the front end of the wall body 3 from a ground surface 5a at approximately the center of the internal retaining ground, and the absolute value of excess pore water pressure generated by surrounding by the wall bodies 3, 4 in the internal retaining ground 5 is inhibited at a low value while excess pore water pressure can be dissipated at an early stage by depressurization action because excavation for constructing the wall body 4 is conducted while pumping up groundwater from the buffer hole 6 of the internal retaining ground when the wall body 4 closing the diaphragm-wall foundation 1 formed in the ground is built.
