WATER-RESISTANT WRITING PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-resistant writing paper usable by writing in the open air during rainy weather by carrying out the water repellent coating conversion of the surface of a cellulosic plain paper and performing the water repellent finishing of cut surfaces of edges. SOLUTION: This water-resistant writing paper is obtained by carrying out the water-repellent coating conversion such as coating with a silicone-based water repellent of both surfaces of a cellulosic plain paper using natural pulp, then cutting the resultant coated paper to a prescribed size and coating the cut surfaces of edges with a water repellent liquid such as a silicone-based water repellent liquid.
