PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress concentration of heating at a fixed region by arranging main burners equipped with a main fuel nozzle having different number of fuel ejection holes around a pilot burner such that same type of main burners are not arranged contiguously to each other. SOLUTION: Main burners 21 equipped with an N1 type main fuel nozzle 31 and main burners 22 equipped with an N2 type main fuel nozzle 32 are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction around a pilot burner 7 in a combustor 11. State of pemixed gas is not uniform over the entire circumference of the combustor 11 but regions of high and low combustion rates are mixed in the direction of the central axix of the combustor and the part of high heating rate is distributed. Consequently, oscillatory combustion due to concentrated heating can be avoided resulting in a low NOx combustor in which safety combustion is achieved without blocking low NOx combustion.
