PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain water-soluble chitosan-containing granules capable of easily solubilizing a chitosan and excellent in storage stability by compounding chitosan granules and solid-organic acid granules. SOLUTION: The objective granules are obtained by compounding (A) chitosan granules preferably having a molecular weight of about 2,000 to 100,000, a deacetylation degree of 60% or more and a grain size of 40 mesh or more, and (B) granules of a solid organic acid (e.g. malic acid) preferably contained in an amount of neutralization equivalent or more to the amount of glucosamine of the component A, and of powder or crystals having a grain size of 200 mesh or more. A chitosan is a partially deacetylated substance obtained by heating chitin (β-1,4-poly-N-acetylglucosamine) with a concentrated alkali solution, and it is a compound mainly composed ofβ-1,4-polyglucosamine. The objective granules are obtained by mixing the component A and the component B.
