PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymerized triazine substance having a structure composed of polymerized triazine rings, composed essentially of triazine ring, having excellent heat-resistance and electrical conductivity and useful as a heat-resistant material and electrically conductive organic thin film material. SOLUTION: The objective polymerized triazine substance has a structure of polymerized triazine rings and is composed essentially of triazine ring. The substance can be produced by carrying out dehydrochlorinating condensation of a triazine derivative preferably having functional groups on 2, 4 and 6-sites (e.g. trichloromelamine) using a basic catalyst to obtain a poly(aminoiminotriazine) as an intermediate and subjecting the intermediate to thermal decomposition condensation. The polymerized substance is a substance essentially composed of carbon and nitrogen at a compositional ratio of 1:1. The heat-resistant temperature measured by thermogravimetry is 50 deg.C in an inert atmosphere. The electrical conductivity measured by four probe method is 10-10 to 102/Ω.cm depending upon the molecular weight.
