PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate impact immediately after collision inflicted upon a crew and raise energy absorbability as well as to make an impact absorbing stroke large and enlarge the collision load input direction where an impact absorption member can function. SOLUTION: A cap-shaped impact absorption member 20 is fixed to a mounting plate 10 fixed to the front end of a front side frame 3 and includes an outer circumferential wall 21 of a taper shape made narrower to the front and a flange 23 as a connecting wall and, with an opening 11 larger than the rear end of the outer circumferential wall 21 formed on the mounting plate 10, the outer circumferential wall 21 of the impact absorption member 20 is deformed in a turned up shape successively from the rear end and retracted into the interior of the front side frame 3 from the opening 11.
