PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can shorten a time for transferring (printing) color images on papers as compared with the prior art. SOLUTION: In the printer having a paper feed part 10 and a printing part 30 for printing color images with overlapping a plurality of colors on a paper supplied from the paper feed part 10, the printing part 30 consists of an ink ribbon 31d having the plurality of colors, a thermal head 32 having a function of sublimating inks of the ink ribbon 31d, a platen roller 33 pairing with the thermal head 32 and a paper-printing transferring means having a function of transferring the paper in synchronization with the thermal head 32. The paper-printing transferring means is set at both sides of the thermal head 32, so that a position of the paper when one color is completely printed on the paper is a position where a next color is started to be printed on the paper.
