PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bursting of a coat tube of a bent part or the like and to prevent deterioration of a function of internals due to the entering steam even if the steam enters the internal space of an endoscope. SOLUTION: An endoscope 3 packed in a sterilizing pack and communicated with the air in the sterilizing pack is thrown into an autoclave vessel 2 of an autoclave apparatus 1. In the case of autoclave sterilization of a pre-vacuum type, autoclave sterilization is started by the autoclave apparatus 1, heating is started, and the interior of the autoclave vessel 2 of the autoclave apparatus 1 is evacuated. Secondly, the interior of the autoclave vessel 2 is pressurized, the interior of the autoclave vessel 2 is filled with high temperature steam about 135 deg.C, and similarly the inner and outer surfaces of the endoscope 3 are exposed to high temperature steam. After that the interior of the autoclave vessel 2 is again evacuated so that the moisture of the inner and outer surfaces of the endoscope 3 are evaporated and dried. |
