PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing apparatus for a can lid, which is capable of efficiently sterilizing many can lids, simply preventing a chemical liquid from flowing out from a chemical liquid spray part through a transport path to a hot air heating part or its downstream side, efficiently spraying the chemical liquid, and rotating a can lid at a substantially constant speed. SOLUTION: In a sterilizing apparatus 1 for a can lid in which while the continuously fed can lids are transported with the can face intersecting perpendicularly to the advancing direction out of contact and at equal spaces by a transport screw 6, the lids are sequentially passed through a chemical liquid spray part 4 and a hot air heating part 5 partitioned as an independent space to be subjected to sterilizing process and then continuously fed to a can lid seamer, the whole of the sterilizing apparatus 1 is installed with a gradient so that the advancing direction of the can lid in the sterilizing apparatus 1 is inclined downward. |
