PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission purifying catalyst enhanced in durability as compared with a conventional catalyst and having excellent low temp. activity and purifying capacity in a wide exhaust gas compsn. atmosphere even after long use. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission purifying catalyst is a monolithic structure type catalyst having a catalyst component supporting layer containing perovskite type composite oxide represented by the formula, AxNiyOz (wherein, A is at least one element selected from a group consisting of La, Ce and Ba; (x), (y) and (z) are atomic ratios of respective elements and, when (y) is 1.0, (x) is at least 0.01 and below 0.1 and (z) is the number of oxygen atoms necessary for satisfying the valencies of respective components), alumina and palladium. |
