PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a potting machine used for potting pots arranged on trays, capable of filling the pots with culture soil in a uniform filling amount at a high rate without causing the trouble of the machine, etc., due to the scattering or falling of the culture soil, capable of being easily operated even by only a worker, allowing to set a hopper at a low place in a saved space, thus realizing the disposition of the hopper at the low place, and simultaneously facilitating the discharge of the culture soil from the hopper. SOLUTION: This potting machine has a filling machine 40 for filling pots with culture soil stored in a hopper 10. In the filling machine 40, a lifting plate 44 is vertically disposed under a soil receiver 41 disposed in the filling machine 40 and used for receiving dropped culture soil. The pots loaded on the lifting plate are lifted and arranged along the bottom portion of the soil receiver 41. The soil receiver 41 is allowed to move and pass on a point for dropping the culture soil. Many penetrated charging holes disposed in response to the openings of the pots are made in the bottom portion 12 of the culture soil receiver 41.
