PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading quantity detection device for a tank lorry dispensing with explosion-proofing specifications simplifying and facilitating constitution, preventing attachment of contamination of dust or the like and stabilizing optical pulse signals to realize correct detection and achieve maintenance-free effect. SOLUTION: As a liquid surface and a float in a tank 3 are moved up and down, a disc magnet 21 is rotated normally and reversely. An outer circumferential part of the disc magnet 21 is magnetized to an N-pole 41 and an S-pole 42, and a movable magnet 26 magnetized to an N-pole 53 and an S-pole 54 is displaced to a light shielding position when the same poles are positioned to face each other to generate repulsive force, and to a light passing position when the different poles are positioned to face each other to generate attractive force. By repeating such displacement in order, light from a light projecting part 23 is disconnected and transmitted in order to be received as optical pulse signals by a light receiving part 24, thereby loading quantity is operated by a control part to be displayed in a display part.
