PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously casting method of lead-containing steel such as lead free-cutting steel and lead-adding steel. SOLUTION: This continuously casting method of lead-containing steel use mold powder having <=0.5 wt.% pickup of PbO and <=5 wt.% pickup of MgO into mold powder slag from the steel. This mold powder is formed by containing 60-90 wt.% basic raw material, 0-25 wt.% silica raw material, 0-15 wt.% fluorite and 1-4 wt.% carbon powder as the constituting raw materials and is preferable that a CaO/SiO2 wt. ratio in the chemical composition is in 1-1.6 range, the Na2O content is <=15 wt.% and the Fe2O3 content as the impurities is <=2 wt.%.
