PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die guide for a wire cut electric discharge machine, wherein machining efficiency is high, and machining accuracy is high. SOLUTION: In a die guide for a wire cut electric discharge machine for guiding a wire 2 to obliquely travel in a work by a guide hole 3 formed in a die chip 1 and having a diameter dimension having a specified clearance relative to the wire 2, and executing taper machining in the work, a contact portion 30 having a curvature surface circular-arc in section is provided in the inner peripheral wall of the guide hole 3, and a maximum inclining angle permitted for the wire 2 within the range of the clearance almost coincides with a maximum oblique traveling angle in the wire cut electric discharge machine.
