PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can recovery system which is capable of incinerating an organic matter left in a can by a method difficult to generate harmful substances such as dioxins, and recovering cans such as a drum and a 18-liter can. SOLUTION: A can recovery system comprises a washing process 6 to wash a can 6 with an organic matter left therein with a solvent, a heat transfer medium heating process 5 to heat a heat transfer medium, a distillation process 3 to evaporate the solvent by heating the solvent containing the organic matter from the washing process 2 with the heat transfer medium heated in the heat transfer medium heating process 5, and a combustion process 4 to incinerate the organic matter separated in the distillation process 3 in an incinerator A into ashes.
