PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary joint for gas supply which does not impair safety even when a rotary joint body rotates with a rotor. SOLUTION: A protruding part 25 comprises a constricted part 23 formed at the connecting end part of a hollow connecting member 20 and an almost spherical large dia. part 24 formed on the tip of the part 23. On the other hand, a receiving part 15 which is large enough for the protruding part 25 to sink into the part 15, is formed in a housing 11 for a rotary joint body 10, and a catch 30 to be engaged with the constricted part 23 is provided. The connecting member 20 is urged toward the center of the housing 11 by the elastic force of fitting pieces 30a of the catch 30 and is held in the center. When the rotary joint body 10 rotates in the rotating direction of a rotary tool 90 resulting in the tilting of the connecting member 20, the large dia. part 24 widens the space between the fitting pieces 30a. Thus the connecting member 20 is easily disengaged.
