PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the maximum cut amount of a circular saw in a circular saw machine and at the same time, increase the rigidity of a platen. SOLUTION: A recessed part 6a is formed in a region opposite to the rib 7a of the platen of a gear housing 6, Consequently the rib 7a is stored in the recessed part 6a, so that even when the rib 7a is high, the maximum cut amount of a circular saw has not necessarily to be small. Thus it is possible to increase the rigidity of the center part of the platen 7.
