PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper dump mechanism capable of speedily performing dumping action of a hopper without limiting a degree of freedom in disposition of devices on a car body frame, or without enlarging the diameter or length of a dump cylinder. SOLUTION: This hopper dump mechanism is provided with a dump cylinder 50 provided between a car body 17 and a hopper 2 to move the hopper 2 between a fallen position and the highest raised position by expanding/contracting a rod, and an assist cylinder 80 provided between the car body 17 and the hopper 2 to assist hopper raising action of the dump cylinder 50 by expanding a rod. The dump cylinder 50 raises the hopper 2 from the fallen position to a specified raised angle position under assist of the assist cylinder 80, and it then raises the hopper 2 to the highest raised position without assist of the assist cylinder 80.
