[Class 69 (i).] A housing for mounting an orifice-plate a, Figs. 1 and 3, for use with a flow meter, comprises a valve b having a transverse passage e in which the plate a is mounted by means of a tubular liner g ; the valve is rotatable so that the passage e may register either with a through passage f or with a closable aperture k, in which latter position the plate a may be removed, the flow then continuing through curvilinear passages i, i<1> arranged at right angles to, and above or below, or above and below, the passage e. The liner g is mounted so that an aperture g<1> therein coincides with the pressure-tube h, a rib g<2> engaging an aperture in the internal surface of the valve, or a dowel-pin being provided for this purpose. |
