The invention relates to a door hinge with an integrated door brake for the doors of a motor vehicle. The first wing of the hinge (1) can be fixed to the first part of a door system and the second wing (2) can be fixed to another part of said door system. Both wings of the hinge (1,2) are pivotally connected to each other by means of a hinge pin that is configured as a screw bolt (10).The wing of the hinge (2) that can pivot in relation to the screw bolt (10) is mounted on part of a shaft (9) with a smooth surface. The invention provides a door hinge with a brake that is easy to assemble and requires few materials. This is achieved by connecting the screw bolt (10) to the first wing of the hinge (1) so that it cannot rotate and by assigning an internal screw thread (16) to the screw bolt (10), whereby said screw thread is connected to the other wing of the hinge (2) in a way that it too cannot rotate.
