PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it difficult to recognize generation of picture quality interference like a dot pattern at the time of a stereoscopic display by individually controlling changes in the spatial density of brightness between images for the right and left eyes by mutually different methods. SOLUTION: Respective digital signals converted from picture signals for the right and left eyes by A/D converters 1-R, 1-L are supplied to respective inverse gamma correction circuits 3-R, 3-L. Output signals from these circuits 3-R, 3-L are supplied to a gradation display control part 4. The control part 4 is a pseudo gradation preparing circuit part for falsely displaying the gradation of pictures for the right and left eyes which can not be originally displayed by a picture display device in accordance with changes in the spatial density of brightness of the display device. The control part 4 disperses errors on the pictures for the right and left eyes not by the same method but by mutually different methods. |
