PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further expand the dynamic range of a high-speed detection system. SOLUTION: When the ion detected by a micro-channel plate 8a of an ion detector 8 is fed from an anode 8b to a pre-amplifier, delay circuits 131-13N form a delay spectrum based on N-number PN sequences by the + symbol and - symbol from a pseudo random noise (PN) sequence generator 15. A restoration spectrum G (i) is obtained by the mutual correlation between a delay spectrum S (i) and the PN sequence through the deconvolution processing by a deconvolution arithmetic unit 14. Even when each dynamic range uses 100 conventional pre-amplifiers 9 and AD converters 10, N×100 dynamic ranges can be obtained. That means, the dynamic range of the high-speed detection system of a time-of-flight mass spectrometer can be further expanded. |
