PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance electromagnetic shielding of a metallic fiber sheet and thin it an building material and improve its constructability by manufacturing the metallic fiber sheet wherein a part or all of metallic fibers contact each other and the periphery of contacts and/or a part or all of metallic fibers are covered with resin. SOLUTION: In a metallic fiber sheet for building material, a part or all of metallic fibers contact each other and the periphery of contacts and/or a part or all of metallic fibers are covered with resin. Metallic fibers are manufactured by drawing protrusion method, a wire extrusion method a vibration method, melt extrusion method, or a coil material cutting method, etc., and the coil material cutting method is suitable to manufacture sheets. The coil material cutting method is a method wherein a metallic foil is coiled on an apparatus for metallic fibers having almost the same construction and function as those of lathes and the ends of the metallic foil is cut to obtain metallic fibers. The resin is preferably a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin dispersed in water.
