PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack which is enhanced in the strength of a terminal support stand by increasing the width size of the terminal support stand. SOLUTION: A housing is provided with a plug connecting table 1 having a plug inserting port to be detachably inserted with a modular plug. Terminals 42 formed of pressure terminals are electrically connected to contacts to be connected to the modular plug. A bearing part 33a is provided on the housing, a rotary shaft 50 provided on a lever 5 is fitted to the bearing part 33a, and the lever 5 is pivotally supported on the housing. A terminal support stand 32 arranged with the terminals 42 is projectingly provided on the housing, and an opening part 57 to be partially inserted with the terminal support stand 32 is formed on one side surface in the lever 5 which faces the terminal support stand 32.
