PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flow-out of ice from a thermal storage tank by branching a supply tube for supplying the ice to the tank, supplying the ice along a liquid surface in the tank at the initial time of supplying the ice and drop supplying the ice from above from the liquid surface in the tank in the state that the ice of a certain amount is stored in the tank. SOLUTION: At the time of operating icemaking, a refrigerant discharged from a compressor 21 and condensed by a condenser 22 is pressure reduced by a motor operated expansion valve 23, and fed into a cooling tube 24a of a thermal storage heat exchanger 24. Here, the refrigerant exchanges heat with a water of a water circulating circuit 3, evaporated, and cold heat is given to the water to obtain ice of a slurry state. This ice is recovered into a thermal storage tank 41 via a supply tube 46, and stored as a cold heat source. In this case, at the initial time of starting supplying of the ice to the tank 41, the ice flowing through the tube 46 flows from a branch 47 into a thermal storage layer 41 via a lower side branch tube 49. Then in the case of storing the ice to a water level L, the ice is fed into the layer 41 via an upper side branch tube 48, and stored so as to drop on an upper side of the ice floated on the surface L.
