PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a CMOS image sensor with an especially wide dynamic range by providing a pixel array constituted by including unit pixels, an amplifying means and an output means to finally output amplified signals as output of the unit pixels and extending the dynamic range for the output of the unit pixels. SOLUTION: The pixel array is provided with the unit pixels 200, 210, 220 which are connected in parallel, an amplifier 230 which is connected with a common output end E of the unit pixels 200 to 220 and amplifies the output of the unit pixels 200 to 220, a drive transistor MD to input the amplified signal to perform voltage follower operation and a load transistor MB to perform bias operation. Output signals of each of the unit pixels 200 to 220 are outputted from a common drain end of the drive transistor MD and the load transistor MB. Relating to the sensor a narrow dynamic range of a sensing node is adjusted by using the amplifier 230 and the output of the unit pixels 200 to 220 is allowed to have the wide dynamic range through gain adjustment of the amplifier 230.
