PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to suppress the dense arrangement of optical fibers by providing the device with a light source, the optical fibers with which the light from the light source is introduced from their one end and is emitted from their other end, a light diverging means for diverging the light and a display irradiated by the light from the light diverging means. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with the light source 12, the at least one optical fibers 14 with which light from the light source is introduced from the one end and is emitted from their other ends, the diverging lens 24 which is disposed at the other end of the optical fibers 14 and diverges the light and a signboard 16 of an internal illumination type as a display which is irradiated by the light from the diverging lens 24. The inside of the signboard 16 of the internal illumination type as the display may be irradiated with the light from the light source 12 via the optical fibers 14 of an end emission type in such constitution. As a result, the display device which is capable of making uniform illumination even if the optical fibers 14 are not densely arranged and the optical fibers 14 of the end emission type useful for use therein may be obtd.
