摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive exposure amt. control system which can correspond to the luminance change of an object even at the time of high speed consecutive photographing, which can secure high picture quality with an appropriate exposure amt. and which does not require a private photometry element for controlling the exposure amt. SOLUTION: A light reception element 305 is installed in an exposure amt. control system of a digital camera which forms the image of an object on an image pickup element 303 by a photographing lens 301, converts it into image data and controls the exposure amt. based on the image data. While a consecutive photographing mode for repetitively image-picking up plural frames is executed, the exposure amt. against the image pickup element 303 is controlled based on the output of the light reception element 305 and the control of parts except for the exposure amt. is executed based on the output of the light reception element 305 at timing except for the execution of the consecutive photographing mode.
