PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide many disk resources for a user without necessitating previously securing an area for a diagnostic system in a user system constructed in a disk device in a main body device. SOLUTION: A system environment generating part 301 executed by IPL and a diagnosing system part 302 are provided in an external storing medium 3. The part 301 constructs a file system in the swap area of a system disk 2 to copy the part 302 in the medium 3 to this file system. When a program name activated by IPL is a prescribed program name, a script starting a copied diagnostic system is added to the initialization processing script of the diagnostic system to temporarily use the diagnostic system in the swap area of a user system to provide many disk resources for the user. |
