<p>A. Process: R = a hetero aromatic 5-membered ring containing 1-3 hetero atoms such as N, -O and -S; R' = H, hydroxy, alkyl or alkoxy; B. Unspecified 2-substd.-5-aminobenzimidazoles of general formula (I) R and R1 as signified. (I) are active anthelmintics and may be used in the treatment of helminthiasis in animals. Simple process in which the 2-substd. benzimidazole cpds. are selectively nitrated at pos.5 without nitrating the substituent at pos.2 5-amino 2-(4'-thiazolyl)benzimidazole.</p> |
