PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ventilation system which is ductless, dispenses with the arrangement of a suction opening for an upper floor on a floor surface thereof, and enhances an excellent ventilation effect. SOLUTION: A ventilation system has an arrangement wherein a communicating closed space 8 is formed in a house with a floor 2 of an upper floor, a ceiling 3 of a lower floor, an outer wall 6 and a wall member which is connected to the above-mentioned portions, and wherein indoor ventilation is conducted with the communicating closed space 8 serving as a ventilating space. An opening 10 for ventilating indoor exhaust to the communicating closed space 8 is arranged on the ceiling 3 or a wall of a room 1. An exhaust blower 11 for sucking the inside air from the opening 10 and exhausting it outdoors is arranged at the communicating closed space 8, and an air supply means for taking the outside air indoors is arranged on the ceiling or the wall of the room 1.
