PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card connector capable of reliably achieving electrical connection of the IC card, with simple work. SOLUTION: This IC card connector 100 is provided with a housing 1 on which terminal fittings 15 are mounted, and a cover 5 hinged to it. When the cover 5 is turned to and pressed against the housing 1 after an IC card has been held by rail parts 57, 58 of the cover 5, a cover side engaging claw 73 and a housing side engaging claw 31 are engaged with each other into the locked state. When the cover 5 is slid toward the rear part of the housing 1 from this state, the cover side engaging claw 73 is guided to an engagement releasing recessed part 32, and locking of the cover 5 and the housing 1 is released.
