PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the circuit constitution and to prevent operation and display from being disordered by inhibiting a display means from making a display while a microcomputer performs a specific process. SOLUTION: A flashing device starts an interruption process for light emitting operation with an indication from the light emission start switch of the flashing device or a camera and a timer interruption process which is performed at specific intervals for display operation is inhibited. Further, terminals A0, A1, and A2 of the microcomputer 107 are held at H to turn off all displays of LEDs 108-1 to 108-9. Then the microcomputer 107 operates a trigger means 105 and a light emission control circuit 106 to perform a process for making a discharge tube 104 emit light. After the light emission process, timer interruption which is performed at the specific intervals for display operation is allowed. Consequently, the displays of the LEDs 108-1 to 108-9 is restarted. Namely, when the microcomputer 107 performs a relatively-long interruption process, the display of the display means is not performed. Consequently, the display is prevented from being disordered.
