PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input pen holding mechanism which can surely hold an input pen. SOLUTION: This holding mechanism comprises an operating part 4a which is protruding from an upper cabinet 5 and an arm part 4b which is elastic and is obliquely extending from the part 4a in a storing part 3. In addition, a pen lock member 4 can move in the inserting/removing direction of an input pen 7. A protrusion 4d of the member 4 is prepared together with a recess 5d of the cabinet 5 where the protrusion 4d is fitted as a 1st means which positions and fixes the member 4 to the cabinet 5 when the member 4 moves in the inserting direction of the pen 7. Furthermore, a projecting part 4c of the member 4 is formed together with a hole 7a of the pen 7 where the part 4c is fitted as a 2nd means which positions and fixes the pen 7 to the member 4.
