PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing element, to prevent the interruption of time sequential signals at the time of high-speed reproduction and to improve the quality of voice at the time of fast forwarding and fast rewinding by thinning and extracting frequency information from compression encoded codes. SOLUTION: In recording, after sound signals from a microphone 18 are A/D converted in accordance with the control of a microcomputer 13, left and right channels are compression-encoded by a TwinVQ system by an encoder 14, frequency components are extracted and further, after a sound feature parameter is extracted and vector-quantized, the compression-encoded code is stored in a flash memory 11. At the time of reproduction, the compression code is read and supplied to a decoder 12, the frequency components are constructed, improved discrete cosine inverse transformation is executed and the frequency components are transformed to time sequential signals. In high-speed reproduction, by thinning and extracting the frequency components corresponding to a reproduction speed, by reducing a processing data amount and reducing a calculation amount, the time sequential signals are prevented from being interrupted. |
