PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller for a rotator, in which rotational fluctua tion of the rotator can be reduced effectively in a high frequency region at a low cost, and high quality images having no fluctuation in density. SOLUTION: This drive controller for rotor comprises a means 35 for detecting the rotational speed of a rotor 25, means 43 for storing rotational speed information detected by the rotation detecting means 35 for every split section when means 30 for rotary driving the rotor is driven at a constant speed, means 41 for controlling the drive of the rotor 25, based on rotational speed information averaged through weighting the rotational speed information detected by the rotation detecting means 35 and stored in the memory means 43, depending on the split section. Arbitrary rotational speed information outputted from the rotation detecting means 35 is employed as a reference for starting operation for storing the rotational speed information of the rotator 25 detected by the rotation detecting means 35 in the memory means 43 for each split section. |
