<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously hold proper electrification with a compound containing no chromium as a coordination center metal in view of environmental safety and to prevent the deterioration of frictional electrification performance after a toner is left intact for a long period by using a specific azo iron complex with the volumetric average grain size in the range of a specific value. SOLUTION: An azo iron complex expressed by the formula and having the volumetric average grain size in the range of 6-15μm is used to obtain a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image, where Ar is the aryl group or substituted aryl, and X1, X2, Y1, Y2 are -S-, -O-, -CO-, -NH-, -NR- (R is the alkyl group having the carbon number of 1-4). Z indicates cation which is counter ion. The toner for developing the electrostatic charge image containing the specific azo iron complex with the volumetric average grain size in the range of 6-15μm instantaneously holds proper electrification and has the frictional electrification performance not deteriorated after it is left intact for a long period.</p> |
