PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely select a station by means of a seeking operation even if an AGC circuit operates in a strong field electric intensity area in a receiver provided with the AGC circuit and a seeking function. SOLUTION: A seeking operation part has a level detection circuit 13, a comparator 15 and a sensitivity switching circuit 14 connected between the level detection circuit 13 and the comparator 15. The sensitivity switching circuit 14 has a plurality of resistances R1 and R2 loaded on a current signal generated based on a level detection signal inputted from the level detection circuit 13. When an AGC signal is inputted from an RFAGC circuit 11, a transistor Q is turned off, R1 is selected for a resistance value loaded on the current signal in the sensitivity switching circuit 14 and a resistance value is switched so that it becomes larger than a resistance value R1//R2 when the AGC signal is not inputted.
