PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a polyethylene pipe with watertight properties ensured regardless of the shape of the cut surface of the tip of the polyethylene pipe and to confirm the mounting state of the polyethylene pipe through visual observation. SOLUTION: A truncated conical protrusion part 3 suited for the inside diameter of a polyethylene pipe 5 to be joined is formed on the internal part of a drum body 4. Further, by forming a small hole 8 for visual observation confirmation in the flange part 2 of the drum body 4, the polyethylene pipe 5 is joined with watertight properties ensured regardless of the shape of the cut surface of the tip of the polyethylene pipe 5, and the mounting state of the polyethylene pipe 5 is confirmed through visual observation.
