PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the battery service life by reducing useless power supply by preventing the transmission of data when there is a possibility of communication failure although a radio terminal in standby state is temporarily enabled to communicate. SOLUTION: This method is provided with a CPU 2 for controlling the transmission/reception of data while detecting whether a radio terminal 1 is enabled to communicate or not, signal processing part 3 for controlling communication with a base station, RF transmission part 4 for controlling the transmission of transmission data, RF reception part 5 for controlling the reception of reception data, receiving state monitoring part 6 for monitoring the rate of error occurrence in the received electric field level or received data of a control channel and power source control part 9 for controlling the supply of power to the said RF transmission part. When a communication state is judged unstable although the radio terminal is temporarily enabled to communicate as a result of monitoring the rate of error occurrence in the received electric field level or received data of the control channel through the receiving state monitoring part, no power is supplied and the data transmission is not executed. |
