PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a system capable of obtaining a measured value at high speed and minimizing a flicker error of a fluorescent lamp by fixing the storage time of the electric charge as the one in which the maximum value of the flicker error between both fluorescent lamps of 50 Hz and 60 Hz becomes extremely small when the storage time of the electric charge becomes shorter than a specified number of seconds. SOLUTION: Outputted signal quantity from a solid-state imaging device is controlled by fixing the storage time of the electric charge as the one in which the maximum value of the flicker error between both fluorescent lamps of 50 Hz, 60 Hz becomes extremely small when the storage time of the electric charge becomes shorter than 50 milliseconds and controlling the number of lines to be continuously and vertically transferred to a horizontal transfer part. In this system, data on the storage time and the number of continuously added lines are transmitted to a CCD control circuit 2 by a CPU 1. A driving pulse is provided to a CCD 3 based on the data on the storage time and the number of the added lines which is received from the CPU 1, the CCD 3 is made to perform storage operation in the specified storage time, adding operation of plural line electric charges in the vertical direction and transfer output operation are performed as well by the CCD control circuit 2.
