<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system capable of accurately identifying the transmission origin of a management report issued from an equipment management device. SOLUTION: This network management system is constituted of plural network relay equipment provided with an interface the equipment management device for managing them and a network management center for generally managing a network. In this case, the equipment management device is provided with a transmission origin selection means 109 for specifying the interface of the transmission origin relating to the management report, an identification information decision means 106 for deciding the globally unique identification information of the transmission origin from the specified interface and a management report transmission means 111 for generating the management report and transmitting it to the network management center, by using the decided identification information of the transmission origin. Then, at the time of transmitting the management report, the decided identification information of the transmission origin is imparted to the management report and transmitted to the network management center.</p> |
