LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily assemble a liquid crystal display unit by using a liquid crystal holder which can be integrated into one body with a protecting panel of the liquid crystal display unit. SOLUTION: Elastic mounting lugs 26 made of a plastic material are provided on a liquid crystal holder 21 to hold and assemble individual parts of a liquid crystal display unit. Individual parts are contained in the liquid crystal holder 21 and the mounting lugs 26 are inserted into mounting holes 27 on a substrate 25. Because the mounting lugs 26 are fixed to the mounting holes 27 on the substrate 25 using its elasticity, the assembling work can be finished by one operation. If a transparent plastic material is used for the liquid crystal holder 21, it can be integrated into one body with a protecting panel to make cost reduction possible. Further, a design of appearance of the liquid crystal display unit can finely be finished by coloring the liquid crystal holder 21.
