PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel a sleep state by providing a means for applying voltage to a terminal that detects the reception of a telephone cell connected to a modem in the same manner as the operation, when a signal arrives at the modem through the telephone with the supply of power to a notebook personal computer. SOLUTION: An NFB 112 is connected to a power supply circuit 111 of a target 103 to be measured for supplying power, at the same time, power is also supplied to a personal computer 102, and charging of a battery 108 is started via a power supply circuit 109. Furthermore, power is supplied to a device 101 for starting up the personal computer, a terminal CI of a serial communication port 104 being used as a terminal for detecting the signal reception of a telephone being connected to the modem is impressed, and the sleep state of the personal computer 102 is canceled, thus normally operating the personal computer 102, and hence canceling the sleep state of the personal computer 102 with the supply of power to the personal computer 102. |
