PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a cell low in SD(shut-down) temperature, rapid in closing a hole, and excellent in mechanical strength. SOLUTION: In a separator for cell formed of a thermoplastic resin porous membrane, the shrinkage ratio in at least one direction of the porous membrane is set to be 2 to 40%, the porous membrane has at least one endothermic peak in a range of 110 to 150 deg.C through the differential scanning thermal analysis, and the porous membrane is set to shut off the ion transmission by the thermal shrinkage at the temperature lower than the endothermic peak temperature by 3 deg.C or under. In a cylindrical non-aqueous electrolyte cell using the separator, a laminate wound body in which the separator 3 is interposed between a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 2 is arranged in a negative electrode can 7 in which a non-aqueous electrolyte is poured. |
