PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the car navigation system which improves the visibility of its vehicle position on a display panel. SOLUTION: The system is equipped with a display panel 9 where a road map image for guidance is displayed, a hologram member 7 which is arranged in front of the display panel 9 and has a stereoscopic image 3a, representing its vehicle position, recorded as interference fringes, and an illuminator 12 which is arranged on the top surface 10 of a bottom plate and reproduces the stereoscopic image 3a on the display panel 9 by irradiating the hologram member 7 with reproduction illumination light 11 and when the hologram member 7 is irradiated with the reproduction illumination light 11, the reproduction illumination light 11 is converted into reproduction light by the interference fringes recorded on the hologram member 7 to reproduce the stereoscopic image 3a representing its vehicle position on the display panel 9. |
