PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the data receiver that clearly manages an expiration date of an information service and simplifies customer management. SOLUTION: At application of power, first a time counted by an internal clock 13 is corrected according to time correction data included in a paging signal sent from an information server. Then a next period is read and when a current time (date and time) is equal to the next period or in excess of it, since this means the validity expires and an extended number of times is increased (counted up). And when the extended number of times exceeds the count number of times, valid/invalid information is set to be invalid and the reception of the information service is stopped. On the other hand, when the extended number of times is not in excess of the count number, the next period is extended by a cycle period.
