PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to recognize the presence of a graph of a different color to be the same gray level in gray scale conversion. SOLUTION: A CPU 12 respectively compares adjacent data after gray scale conversion and color image data before the conversion, and upon detecting that the image data of a different color and the same density are present, changes the value of a gray scale converted result corresponding to either one of the color image data and makes a difference possible to visually confirm by a print output result.
