摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time until a beam is stabilized in the start by suppressing the excessive increase in temperature of an amalgam by the heat effect from an electrode, to make the amalgam easy to heat in activation, keeping the mercury vapor pressure in an appropriate range. SOLUTION: Three tubular bodies 34a, 34b, 34c are sequentially connected to each other to form a bent discharge path 39, and a bulb 31 having a plurality of small pipes 40a, 40b, 40c is provided on an intermediate part of the discharge path 39. A fluorescent body 32 is formed on an inner surface of the bulb 31, a filler gas is filled in the bulb 31, and an electrode 33 is sealed to both ends of the bulb 31. An amalgam 42 is sealed in the small pipe 40a closest to the electrode 33.
