PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflecting yoke in which the image distortion other than the image rotation using an image distortion correction coil is compatible with the misconvergence correction by the asymmetric current in a horizontal deflection coil. SOLUTION: In a deflecting yoke 41 in which coils 51, 53 having an annular image distortion correction coil around the axis of a cathode-ray tube and having the inductance larger than the horizontal deflection coil inductance are respectively connected in series to an upper horizontal deflection coil 57 and a lower horizontal deflection coil 59, and in which a pair of these coils 51, 53 are opposite in phase to each other, a bias coil 55 having the strong magnetic coupling with a pair of coils 51, 53 is provided. A part of the horizontal deflection current runs in the bias coil 55, and the asymmetric current corresponding to the current flowing in the bias coil 55 is made to flow the upper horizontal deflection coil 57 and the lower horizontal deflection coil 59.
